Christo in Abu Dhabi



THE MASTABA

This could be the grandest of all of Christo's projects ever complete. This massive ziggurat looking structure is actually composed of 440k oil barrels painted in various shades of yellow, orange, and red. The structure when complete will be taller than the Great Pyramids of Egypt. This project is a hilarious identity for the oil rich country of UAE and the city of Abu Dhabi.

    That really is unique considering that most of the projects being made in there are hotels, mansion,houses,museums, and other real estate building.

I was recently reading an article from the September issue of 1956 House and Home and was astounded to see an interesting FLLW article with tips for the average home builder. As I was reading through the article I was realizing that those tips and advise were still just as pertinent today as it was in 1956.
