Space from Light

The show began as these blue lights projected across the stage a calm before the sounds would set in. It was a well put together performance by the lighting designer that created a static room as these lights held there points while the Ghostland Observatory artist filed into their light structures. Then the show began and the colors began to flood from these laser projectors and it was entertaining!

I was so enthusiastic about this Austin band and their lighting performance that I had to find more about how and who put this on. With a bit of looking I found that the work was done by Lightwave International. I was transfixed by these laser beams as they continued displaying infinite patterns.

I also could see more possibilities with this lighting technology as they continue to progress. I was excited at the idea at the beginning of the show as these strong beams could create optical illusions of light walls and therefore temporary optical evolving architecture or maybe just an idea of a couple of these projector boxes would make a sweet Christmas display in the front yard... tis the season.
