Frank Lloyd Wright speaks about teaching his students and he also discusses the elements of design and knowledge that Engineers lack. Most interesting to me is the way he discusses NATURE as a way of teaching in regards to the function and form, of structure, and sense of material. Two great Architects discuss Architecture at the Hammer Museum in LA in 2008. The lecture was part of a celebration for Ray Kappe who turned 80 and was introduced and questioned by Frances Anderson . Shigeru Ban also explained how it was attending Sci Arc and how his work was influenced by Kappe.
